Seems like translating from English to Japanese is getting incorrect results. Sometime I will also get "NaN" or
within the translation output. This had happened since v2.1.0.
I have been using VRCT since v1.3.2. translating from English to Japanese / Korean / Chinese has been successful up to v2.0.2
Since v2.1.0 with the new UI, the translation results is not the same, friends will misunderstand me and sometime it is just wrong. My solution is to revert back to v2.0.2
Japanese and Korean friend using VRCT don't have problem, whatever they typed in Japanese translate correctly into English as always.
I'm using Deepl.com free API key, the same API key use in v2.0.2, High accuracy model 1.2GB
If you require me to generate any log for troubleshooting, please let me know where I can find those log, I'll gladly cooperate and find + upload for you.
With the changes from version 2.0.2 to 2.1.0, you can now manually select the translation engine. Based on the image, it seems you are using the "Internal (Default)" translation engine. This engine uses an AI model, so while the translation accuracy is not perfect, it has the advantage of operating on the CPU. This means it can still produce translation results even if other translation engines are unavailable (e.g., offline).
If you desire more stable translations, you might want to click on "Internal (Default)" and switch to "DeepL" or "Google". Additionally, since you have set up a DeepL.com free API key, you can select "DeepL_API" to use the DeepL.com free API for translations.
OMG ! I felt like an idiot ! I didn't see that Translator option at all, www. thank you for explaining and pointing it out to me. Ever since v2.1.0, I tried every new version that came out and reinstall v2.0.2 again. www.
Now I tested, it work amazing ! Japanese using DeepL_API, Korean using Papago, Chinese using Google with Traditional Chinese. Everything is working perfect and better than before !
Thank you for this amazing program !
ps. I will open a new ticket for feature suggestion.
