This occurred after a recent update to the instagram and facebook apps (~Aug 4, 2015).

Just looked into this; it turns out that both facebook and instagram have decided to stop supporting text sharing. You can see instagram's note here.

@jsheldonmit @josmas I agree with José. There isn't anything we should do. But I don't see what we would want to put into the component documentation. Do you?

Just a simple note stating that sharing text does not work with Facebook or Instragram; the picture will be shared, but the text will be ignored.
