Bring most recent changes from develop into master #72

This is to bring the commits below into the master branch.

To avoid making new releases for every minor change, I'd prefer to group changes together, thoroughly test, and then release to master.

In particular, I think we still need to finish #50 for the next release at a minimum. #43 and #51 would also be great to include if possible.

We can still get the AC 2.0 bug fix into master along with BPM 6.0, and tag a release later once more stuff like #50 is also merged into master.
