It's 2021. I would like to know if it's production ready or in active development? If It's not production ready, what is the risk factor using it in a microservice? Some words from the author would be appreciated!

Hi, please shoot me an email at alanamarzoev@gmail.com with a description of your use case. I can help you figure out if the current version of Noria would support it. Thanks!

Since I graduated, I don't think anyone continued actively using Noria in a research capacity, which is why there's been no activity here, and why there's no progress on additional feature. Noria was a research prototype, and not a fully-fledged production-ready system :) I haven't put the repository in read-only mode because it could still be possible that someone picks it up for research down the line, and I don't want to disincentivize them from doing so :)
