and attached here is the PDF output with overlapping text, my code can be found here
the PDF output was last rendered as of this morning, 2024-06-19 thank you so much
To fix overlapping lines, remove awesome-cv.cls
from the directory if it was generated before f1986fd886e57cdfe44ee34b4313a791b1ef29a6, then knit using the development version of the package (at least after f1986fd886e57cdfe44ee34b4313a791b1ef29a6).
awesome-cv.cls
is generated the first time a CV is rendered, i.e., when there are no awesome-cv.cls
in the directory. The fix in f1986fd886e57cdfe44ee34b4313a791b1ef29a6 modified awesome-cv.cls
so one needs to generate an updated version for the fix to work. Don't forget to apply whatever custom changes made in the old awesome-cv.cls
to the newly generated awesome-cv.cls
as well.
@FinYang Thank you! this did the trick for me.
I can confirm this works nicely.
Step 1: Rename/remove awesome.cls in your directory Step 2: Re-compile (which creates a new awesome.cls for you)
For anyone who has made a lot of changes in their awesome.cls file, for me the only difference between the two versions was on line 704 where
\vspace{-4.0mm} was changed to \vspace{2.0mm}
Yes this is working now. Thanks!
I spoke too soon. The issue regarding publications displaying in a different font has not been resolved. Any suggestions on what might be the issue? I tried wrapping bibliography_entries()
in \begin{cvparagraph}
and \end{cvparagraph}
but that did not work.
I also still have the same issue with the different font size, though the overlapping issue now has been resolved.
Can confirm issue with different font size persists.
I am getting getting overlapping lines similar to what is described in #258 even after installing the development version.
I am also seeing that the font is different for my publications pulled into the document with
bibliography_entries()
.Here is the PDF and here is the code.
Thanks!
