Is it possible to include an option tochange the text colour of the 
notification to white?

The text color on the notification icon can be changed to white. It's the "Icon 
style" option on the main screen. But do you mean the text color of the 
notification itself (which appears after drop-down the notification bar)? Can 
you tell me on which phone (or launcher?) the notification requires white text?

I've got the Samsung Galaxy S, where the whole interface on the default 
launcher is white on black. Therefore, yes, text in side the notification 
itself (within the pull-down menu) needs to be in white to be visible.
