but with many internal spaces to justify the text.

ami3 gets

be   ... used   ... hen   ... propriate,   ... sistent   ...    ...   ...   ... inty   ...  guidance:

i.e. the offset mechanism is inappropriate.

Need to find publishers's strategy. May be able to detect this by comparing string length and coords length

Hm, could be the underlying PDF data encoding somehow? I'm thinking we'll need to do some post-processing, and trimming extra whitespaces, etc.
