In micromaster, mitodl/django-server-status is pinned to 0.5.0 that pull the ElasticSearch library in requirements.txt while compiling the requirements.in file in micromaster. As elasticsearch in marked a requirements in django-server-status
So, Upgrading this package to 0.7.3 that has an empty requirements.txt file has resolved this issue in micromaster.
But, raising an error that complain about missing openSSL library that is referenced here
However, this issue can be resolved if we pinned the PyOpenSSL library in micromaster but I guess, it should be taken care by this application.
One more thing, I observed, a PR is here but it is in closed state.
While working on Discovery: replace Elasticsearch with OpenSearch, I noticed few things that may need to address in this application.
