Change from rst to md since PyPI supports it and it's easier to read/write, and more ubiquitous

i`m kinda -0 on it - my own preference is strongly for rst simply because its the better standard for structure

Basically a -1 without weight behind it, I would follow @mitsuhiko or @untitaker wrt the format

Doesn't matter to me. I suppose there is nothing speaking against MD nowadays

Along with the conversion from rst to md, I also modified the content too. Just wanted to make sure that is known before merging. You can see the content change in the second commit.
