What codecs are supported and how do I select them?

opensoftphone is based on http://www.pjsip.org/, so the default pjsip codecs 
are supported. Please refer to the pjsip documentation for how to change the 
priority of the codecs. However, I would advise you to control the available 
codecs from your SIP server, if you are running it yourself. That way you can 
easily assign agents which are connected over the LAN a high-bandwidth codec 
(like ulaw) and agents which are connected over a VPN an adaptive, 
low-bandwidth codec like speex.
