Mixxx stops unexpectedly and is unresponsive

Version 3.4. I'm running Mint 20.1 with xfce4 desktop. This problem is predictable and repeatable. I will include the log file from stat session.

That looks like a bug in XFCE... have you tried running Mixxx on a different desktop environment?

I did not experience this problem with the prior version of Mixxx

I noticed other users experiencing a similar problem. I may decide to regress back to the previous version of mixxx which I had installed. It ran without incident. Mixxx should not freeze no matter what the issue is.

Nobody else has reported this bug. Please try a different desktop environment.

We cannot support old versions of Mixxx.

2.3.0 (apologies)

I de-installed mixxx and reinstalled and I though perhaps the problem went away. It did run for several hours before stopping. I enabled broadcasting and found the application once again had stopped this morning. I think perhaps I will completely de-install the app using purge and I will also start with a clean profile by renaming . mixxx. I'll do my best to narrow this down by eliminating as many variables as possible and will keep you informed accordingly.

I just completely purged mixxx from my laptop using apt-get purge mixxx. I re-installed it and did no customization. I renamed the .mixxx file so the app would create a new config. It found my hardware ok as well as identifying my ~/Music sub-directory. I'm running it "out of the box"  in a matter of speaking. I loaded about 1000 audio files into the auto DJ and just enabled the auto DJ. I will follow up with the results. Thanks, Don
