Itunes library #11087

Bug Description

My downloaded itunes library is loading on mixx but it wont let me play the songs, ive have the list of songs that wont play or be dragged onto the waveform

which operating system do you use? What means "My downloaded itunes library"?

I use windows, i mean ive downloaded songs on the cloud onto my library on itunes and onto my hard drive

The downloaded songs on my library show up as ive scanned itunes to be the library i want to use but they wont play

Can you play the songs when you drag and drop them onto a deck in Mixxx?

No i cant, its very strange how they wont play

If you bought the tracks on the iTunes store, there is a good chance they have DRM. What kind of files are you trying to play exactly?

I have apple music as my streaming service so its just songs on that, it gives you the option of using it as a library yet wont work, just mp3 as far as i know

As far as I know songs from apple music have DRM on them and you can't play them outside apple-only/licensed software. Mixxx can only play files you have locally which are DRM-free, which is not the case with your apple music files.

I guess these are YouTube Rips that claim to be MP3 but actually contain AAC data in a DASH container.
