Application hangs after I click on the controller mapping dropdown #12528

Bug Description

After mapping controls using the Wizard and saving it as a new version if I click the dropdown "Load Mapping" the entire applicate gets hanged and I need to force quit. There's no chance to apply the new mappings.

Workaround The way I solved this was to keep just the latest mapping file on my Mixxx Settings Folder, in my case this was for Hercules DJ Console RMX.midi.xml. Filename and the name inside the XML needs to be the original ones: Instead of:

Hercules DJ Console RMX v2

I replaced it to:

Hercules DJ Console RMX

Also, I replaced the XML under the "controllers" folder.

This way I was able to passthrough the issue.

Equipment I'm using an Hercules RMX controller.

Thank you for this detailed report!

There won't be another 2.3.x bugfix release, we're in the final phase of preparing 2.4 Therefore, please test 2.4-beta from https://mixxx.org/download/#beta. Rename (backup) your Mixxx settings directory (parent of the controllers directory with mixxxdb.sqlite etc.) to start with a fresh profile and try to reproduce the issue.
