2.5 Increase minimum size for Tango and LateNight

Both skins would be mor relaxed if we increase the size a bit.

Tango / Deere

1024 -> 1280

LateNight

1280 -> 1366 / 1440 (Looks best on 1920 IMHO)

I am a bit afraid of regressions. At least we should not do it during a beta. We need to make our mind clear what is the minimum requirement. Is it OK to at least move this to 2.6-beata?

Not sure which regressions you expect? Whatever minimum size we declare, the skin size warning in the preferecens is just a warning and each skin can still be squeezed into even the smallest screen.

My point is just that increasing the min. width would give us a relaxed default look. And the screen sizes I proposed (1280 / 1366) are reasonable nowadays. For users with RPi or other embedded solutions there won't be a difference since they probably use a custom skin or built-in skin with custom config anyway.

These are the regions that currently don't fit if all skin options are enabled Tango (which already contains some magic to hide the decks's star rating)

• cues / intro/outro with mixer and some deck controls enabled

Deere

• toolbar with Booth output enabled
• beatgrid editing with mixer enabled
• hotcues / intro/outro with mixer enabled

LateNight

• looping controls are dense/overlap

Sure we could tweak each skin, e.g. Deere:

• allow the beatgrid controls to minimize the track labels
• use toolbar icons instead of text for the main UI toggles

Tango:

• refine the auto-hide / won't fit magic

LateNight:

• allow the hotcue grid to shrink
