GUI flickers and then Mixxx aborts #6098

Occasionally Mixxx windows starts flickering when in full screen with Unity (not tested windowed). The screen flickers for a few seconds then Mixxx exits with an abort message. I can't find any messages in Linux logs related to this (xorg, etc). Had this a few times but can't see what triggers it, but possibly when right clicking on track for load.

Got a new load of debug messages. Same behaviour. On load of a non sequenced track (no bpm).

We've rewritten our waveform support for the upcoming Mixxx 1.11.0. Could you please try out our alpha2 release to see if we have made any progress on this issue?

Having followed some of the history of the Unity interface it makes me wonder if what I was seeing here was in fact a Unity bug and nothing to do with Mixxx ? Anyway the rewritten waveform may fix this. I don't have Ubuntu right now as I switched to Debian, but I'll try and install Unity if I can.
