For the MK4 controller it uses a script that completely reworks the functionality of some of the buttons. The MK2 looks like it might do the same. Look for the Hercules-DJ-Console-Mk2-scripts.js file in the mixxx install directory. Reading through that might give you a better idea of what it's doing when you hit the different buttons. The scripts allow for making the lower end controllers much more powerful.

In the current trunk the mk2 sync button and pitch bend buttons do not work. I tried to reprogram them using the midi learning wizard and it appears to detect the button however it does not bind that button to the appropriate action. I believe this started sometime around the HID integration with the trunk and is still broken as of 3243. Some of the other items like the jog wheels, cross fader, eq knobs, pitch knob and kill buttons work fine. Pitch bend, track left/right sync appear to be broken. The audio src button seems to exhibit 'interesting' behavior although I dont think its quite correct. I am not sure what the master temo buttons are suppose to do but they appear to have no effect. The top arrows for FX,cue and loop do not appear to do anything either.
