Whats your Mixxx version, whats the name of your Hercules console and which mapping exactly you have selected?

The Version is 1.10.1 the console is Hercules MK2, the Mapping was already included in the mixxx - version I installed on my laptop (I could select the mapping under preferences.- there where mappings for different consoles to select from...) I have to edit the mapping to change the wrong relation So far there the element value filter low has been forgotten to give to element-group (channel 2) - so I added this, but I also have to put the proper notification in the columns Midi Status Type and Midi Note - I dont know how to do that.

The original "Hercules DJ Console Mk2.midi.xml" mapping distributed with Mixxx 1.10.1 reads:

  <control>
    <group>[Channel2]</group>
    <key>filterLow</key>
    <status>0xB0</status>
    <midino>0x2B</midino>
    <options/>
  </control>

Possible reasons for the issue:

Your controller sends different midi notes Sniff the data your controller send to Mixxx and compare it to the values in the mapping, see http://mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/midi_controller_mapping_file_format?s[]=sniff#sniffing_your_controller
You edited the original mapping Replace with original version from https://bazaar.launchpad.net/~mixxxdevelopers/mixxx/release-1.10.x/files/head:/mixxx/res/midi/
You selected the wrong mapping Double-check the correct selection
