1.) remote control support: managing Mixxx functions AND playlists/archive (installed e.g. on a notebook) by a smartphone (support of a DLNA/UPnP server) [currently remote control can only be done by midi interface (apps like 'DJcontrol')] Remark: I could imagine to use MIXXX not only for private parties here it is often difficult to reach or to place your notebook but also for teaching dancing (dance lessons) where I often would like to have special songs in the playlist and modify the tempo! Here you cannot always run between the player and the middle of the room where you hold the lesson and show things in front of the group. 2.) direct loading (right mouse click when 'Playlist' is activated) and/or direct reading of playlists. ==> the explorer should support m3u file format and so read them directly! 3.) permanent Sync during auto-play. 4.) Lots of parameters should be saved when closing MIXX. E.g.

• the width and choice of columns of the lists and blocks.
• selection state of the 6 check boxes like 'turning Vinyl' or 'tempo lock'.
• size of MIXXX window (maximize or window position)
• position of switches/potentiometers
• maybe also: loaded songs in decks
• ... It is nerving always to set those parameters again at the next session!! 5.) Tempo slider with lock option, improvment: keep the current pitch when changing the tempo. See VirtualDJ. Very fine feature as it combines tempo and pitch setting with just ONE slider! 6.) change of ID3Tag setting when editing the song parameters via the list edit function (why did you put away this selectable feature from version 1.9?). It makes no sense that modifications should just refer to the Mixxx database! Maybe you should add a switch at options to activate and deactivate this feature. 7.) BASIC functions for Karaoke DJs: interface to a Karaoke software (e.g. PyKaraoke) which loads/finds lyrics and manages panels for Karaoke. Or better direct integration: support of cdg/mp3+g format -> synchronic playback of audio and cdg/mp3+g file. Auto-search of lyrics in the internet and auto-scroll of lyrics during playback. (s. Winamp plugins like 'HyperLyrics' or 'Lyrik 1.3' (s. http://www.winamp.com/plugins/search/lyric)) Fullsize video window for tv display.

In addition, please file separate bugs for each issue. Some of these have already been requested and exist as wishlist bugs. You can search for them then "vote" by clicking that the issue affects you too.

Once that's done, either rename this bug to a single issue, or close it (mark it invalid.)

thank you for the long list. You describe realy usefully things and with a little luck someone will pick them up for a upcoming Mixxx version.

Unfortunately we cannot track them with this meta bug.

There is a better chance to see them implemented if you split them up into small tasks. And report them again as individual bugs at https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx.

Maybe we have already a bug for some of them then it is good to click "Yes, it effects me" to vote for it.

This bug can be safely closed after it.
