Actually, we don't have file creation/modified date in the library. We have file "added" time in the library -- which is the time it was added to the Mixxx library.
I've added modified/created to browse mode. It's already "free" since we are stat'ing all those files already. Adding this to the library views is much tougher from a performance POV.

well i wasnt asking for it to be added to library anyway, just to browse, i thought it was strange that you couldn't have file date column when browsing files
has that been added now in the new beta release? thank you very much

could it also please be considered to move the quicklinks to main root, so they are instantly accessible, like virtualdj, at the moment you have to go through 3 directory layers to get to your quicklinks folders and that sort of defeats the object of them been called quicklinks,
so that the quicklink folders you add are actually on the main tree, like virtualdj, or at least move quicklinks folder itself to main tree?
thank you very much

Feature Request: file date column in browser / quicklinks
Postby filevans » Wed Oct 01, 2014 11:50 am for some reason it is not possible to have a filedate / date modified column when you're in the browser / quicklinks, not possible to add it
you can have file date on library only, please could it be added to just the normal file browser as i like my new songs at the top, and you can only do this on library at the moment, and i just prefer to use browser rather than keep updating my songs, file date is possible on other dj programs in the browser
