Mixxx has a configurable curve for the crossfader attenuation. It would be nice to also have a configurable curve for deck faders too.

Do we have a real user demand for it? I have investigated this some time ago because the original fader curve was just bad. To solve this I have introduced the audio taper curve taken from high price audio taper pots. I came to the conclusion that there is no need for this feature if we do it just right. And I do not know of any complains about the new curve since then.

I don't think it makes much sense to have the crossfader curve adjustable but not the channel faders.

I do not know of any complains about the new curve since then.

Again, I don't think we should be using this as a justification for design (in)decisions, especially not against adding a new feature that some users may find helpful. We can have the current curve as the default and still have it be customizable. That said, I do think this is a pretty low priority.

Why do you think some users may find this usefull? Did you need this feature?

Valuate a feature against user demands makes perfectly sense to me. We have a long list of wishlist bugs, where we actually have a user demand. Fixing them is IMHO more beneficial than cluttering the code with features users may find usefull.

Line fader curve adjustment is not new - the mighty Vestax PMC 07 had it, and this feature can still be found on current models like the Pioneer Djm-S9 .

With supporting different DVS media ( Traktor, Serato, Mixvibes), we aim at turntabelists. Scratching is (or should i say was?) essential for turntablism. Scratches can be performed by cross-, line faders, or by a combination of both [1].

I do think this request is perfectly valid.

This has not seen recent activity, but I also would like to have that.

The reason for this is that I feel that the volume gets MUCH louder the last ~10% of the way, which makes more precise adjustment in this region tough and changes balancing two tracks a lot more meddlesome than I'd like to have. Often, the adjustments fading one song in and another one in end up being too drastic, resulting in either the new song coming in too late or the "old" song decreasing in volume too quickly.
