Choose how to publish (archive) initial data release #47

An ideal workflow would be for the process to be automated (using GitHub Actions) and triggered when a new Release is created on this GitHub repository. There is good integration between GitHub and Zenodo, which can issue a DOI:

Alternatively, the DOI could be issued by one of our institutions and hosted there. For example, the WGMS could issue the DOI and create a page for it at https://www.gtn-g.ch, much like for glathida.

We decided to go with Zenodo as the easiest and most automated option.
