1 year ago Hello all, while it still bugs me a bit that I havn't found a solution to pass over the correct parameters the way I tried (since Pinball-Y clearly should be capable to do since it "nativly" support Steam apps, as far as I understand it), I found a simple and working solution. Sometimes you really should think over the way how to approach problems ;)
Solution: Instead of starting VPX through Steam and fiddling with parameters I simply start the frontend Pinball-Y through Steam and use the normal VPX profile of it. After configuring the buttons in the Steam controller mapper, everything is working as I wanted it to be. Even when Pinball-Y is starting VPX. And starting all that stuff automatically shouldn't be a problem either, since you can simply create a shortcut through Steam and put it in the autostart of windows. (I guess, havn't tried yet, but it's working with other things)

Hello, I tried to find a solution for hours now, using your excellent dokumentation but just don't get what I am doing wrong. I want Pinball Y to start VPX via Steam and then start the choosen table automatically. (Want VPX using Steam for the overlay and the steam joystick mapping possibilities) I set up a new system, with all paths, file extension, process name of vpx, the correct starting parameter for steam etc. But it looks like I'm missing something essential. The log file doesn't gave me any errors, even with table start logging enabled. (tried different additional starting parameters too without success) When I start a table via Pinball Y it does start VPX using Steam. But instead of starting the table afterwards, VPX just starts the table selection dialogue. (if not using Steam, everything is working flawlessly) Any hint in the right direction would be highly appreciated. (sorry for my bad english) greetings DD
