Url containing email => The dot gets decoded, but the @ doesn't. #224

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.GET request to a URL containing an Email
2.Ex: recipient/matiasgsanchez%40gmail%2Ecom
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The Dot in the url URL gets decoded, I can see it in the console. This does not 
hapend with the @. 

On what operating system, browser and browser version?
Version 29.0.1547.76 Ubuntu.

Please provide any additional information below.
