Battery charge does not match reality and seems to ~>30% higher than expected #190

Describe the bug Battery charge does not match reality and seems to ~>30% higher than expected. This only seems to happen if the battery reaches 0% battery level (~5% nominal stays). Then the bug occurs both nominal and normal are affected.

Your Sungrow inverter:

Home Assistant :

modbus_sungrow.yaml:

Inverter Firmware Status:

To Reproduce Wait for battery to be fully discharged, start charging (seems it happens when charging is very slow, i.e. ~2-300W)

Expected behavior A charge status of ~10-20%

Yesterday I even got it twice in one day - you can see once it reaches ~40% it sometimes goes back to what seems like the correct value: image FYI there was no sun that day, the battery was certainly not at 40%.

Additional context It's the same issue as #154 - but as advised creating a new thread. I'm at the normal soc/reserved settings (5%, 100%, 0%) and even disabled all the automations from the yaml to avoid any interference.

I just realised that the light itself on the battery that is charging (10 segment LCD thing) does seem to "start" from the 4th bar which seems to indicate the whole system does seem to believe it is at ~40%.... Guess I need to make a phonecall to my installer after reconnecting the winet-s stuff and getting that working again...

Closing this, sorry for the noise.
