Can't change inverter mode #32

I want to control when the battery is charged/discharged. It's set to "self consumption" by default, and setting forced charge/discharge did not work. Tried to change mode to "external EMS", and this does not work (setting won't change).

Also "battery charging start power" and "battery discharging start power" is incorrect 2^16.

Edit: I was able to change mode after multiple tries and inverter restart (stop, start). Will investigate further.

Any updates on this?

btw. what inverter / battery are you using?

Inverter sungrow SH10RT Battery sungrow SRB096, now upgraded to SBR224.

Was playing with it some more and it does work, but not always. I am also getting some random mode changes, like changing to forced charge, changes the mode from "external EMS" to "self-consumption" etc. I guess this is due to inverter itself? Also other parameters change randomly, like "charge/discharge power" resets to zero, etc.

I will be automating my charge/discharge sessions based on nordpool hourly rates and maybe then I will run in to some problems and have more to report.
