Why do we need two stage extraction? #8

For example, wheat related products such as wheat (15), wheat flour (16) and wheat starch (23) are first standardized into wheat (15) then aggregated to "wheat and products" (2511).

Do we need the intermediate step? There are some items which are involved in the first stage but not the second. For example, "Wheat fermented beverage" (26) is standardized into the "Wheat fermented beverage" (26) but there are not corresponding entry for FBS.

We do not need to do the intermediate stage, for the pre-standardization we will be working on the quantity only. It is when we calculate the calories and nutrients we have to compute them separate and not standardize into primary equivalents.
