Can't save #306

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.  Trying to collaborate on a document with a friend.  She couldn't save, and 
got the save error that is reported several times throughout this issue tracker.
2.  I was able to save, so tried making her owner of document.  Now neither of 
us can save the document.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I should be able to save our document through latexlab.  "Unable to convert 
document."

What version of the product are you using? On what browser?
Occurs at work and at home.  Latest chrome.

Please provide any additional information below.
