I barely know where to start here. What version number are you talking about? Where do you see the wrong value? Can you provider an example?
I am pretty sure I filled out all the information.. version number and what it is I am seeing.
But, I am building an application using MS DevOps, and I have verified that it gets a version number applied at build. Then I apply the confuser, and on the other side of that, the versionnumber is now a Guid.
I am using the latest version (1.6.0.69) of the CLI

With the information supplied it is impossible to identify the issue. I just protected a small test application. The version number of the DLL itself and the numbers stored in the assembly are fine. Please provide a minimal example that shows the issue.

Steps to Reproduce:
I am building a WPF desktop application through Azure DevOps. I can see that the build version is set correctly initially, but is lost when confuserex is run. On the backside, the version is now a Guid.
