Rationale

It's currently not possible to edit sample prior to the current one due to the VCR engine's recording model.

Proposal

The introduction of a piano roll would simplify tasks which otherwise require repeated savestate-based rewinding and input editing, such as performing GWKs in Super Mario 64.

As an initial proposal, the interactions can be a simplified variant of those from Bizhawk's TAStudio.
