Hi I am the maintainer of mkdocs in Fedora/epel I am working in the packaging of this theme and I want to include the License and Readme in the pypi tarball

I don't think you want to package this theme - it is intended as an example for theme authors only. However, that being said I am happy to accept these changes.

I would recommend packaging https://github.com/squidfunk/mkdocs-material - this is a particularly nice theme!
