Hi there,
I also noticed delays with notifications in Windows 10. It happens even if I use the "test" function in extension's options. Sometimes they work as expected, other times they don't... If I keep pushing the "test" button, usually at the second try I get all of the notifications.
If there's something you need to know to investigate the issue, please let me know.
Thanks
I have the same issue. Love the extension but unfortunately I had to disable it because of this.
delayed notifications also take place in firefox its not limited to thunderbird
I can't replicate this issue. Maybe somehow I fixed it while doing recent changes. Could you please try the latest beta 1.9.8-pre5 xpi.
I re-enabled GNotifier only yesterday and so far I got no delays. So, I'm talking about 1.9.7, not the beta... maybe it was Windows' fault after all?
cant test @ firefox it refuses to install due to missing signing will test and report back @ thunderbird
I can say now that issue fixed by itself over the time; I guess Windows broke something about notifications in any of their upgrades and then fixed it.
That's good news. Thanks for your testing.
@ TB its fixed by the new beta 1.9.8-pre5 @ FF with 1.9.7 its still present here
@daed-alus New release 1.9.8 is now available on AMO. I would be grateful if you could test it with FF as well.
i have to apologize messages are still delayed even with 1.9.8 in both TB and FF didnt noticed this immediately @ TB cause the "first" delayed message shows up together as soon as a second arrives the second seems to show up in time same behavior in FF and TB
@daed-alus Ok, so lets keep issue open. BTW, I still can't replicate this...
Sorry to say this but it's happening again to me too.. I just booted up my PC and all notifications have a delay :(
The problem is on the windows notification and the firefox or thunderbird systems, so no matter how hard you try to fix, it will b there, forever and ever.

I want to better understand what you said.. so, the source of the problem is inside some Windows component responsible for notifications or inside Firefox/Thunderbird or both?

@mkiol Everything started working again on my end... I don't think it's a problem with your app but just some weird bug elsewhere, be it Windows or Mozilla products.
Hello, I'm Using your Extension and It works sometimes and not working sometimes. When I use a Thread Grouping in Thunderbird, It not working, and it delay until maybe a 5 til 10 minutes, I don't know why anyway. But it's annoying. Thanks for reading.
