Wondering if you would accept this, even if it requires changes.
Allow changing the compiler with the CC variable: make CC=clang
CFLAGS variable in Makefile, defaulting to -O2
Very strict compilation options (mostly for contributors to be set to high standards)
Fixes all lines that had spaces instead of tabs so all lines use tabs (should consider getting clang-format into CI or something similar)
Allows AMPS environment variable to be set up to 1900 allowing up to 2.4 A output total (tested with iPhone 7 Plus)
I thought it might be useful to let usbmuxd set bConfigurationValue to 1 since in its udev rule it starts by setting it to 0. This might be the cause of conflict if ipad_charge and usbmuxd attempt to run around the same time, causing the device to disconnect completely after being connected for a very short time, but I am not 100% certain. This is optional and is controlled with the -u flag.
Output to system log. Some messages will output to stderr still.
