line "I-bar" cursor thicker for visibility? #301

I found mention of this in the mailing list from 2010 -- requesting the option
(familiar from Word and others) to make the "I" cursor a bit thicker so it's
easier to see. I am using Mintty to cut and paste in the Cygwin window -- with
what I get as defaults for the command prompt (green) and path (yellow); for
those I need a darkish background, and haven't yet found a background color
that makes those and the thin "I" cursor all easy to see at the same time.

This is an older-eyes/lower-contrast-vision problem.

Mintty respects the system-wide cursor width setting for the line cursor. This
can be found in the Control Panel. In XP it's under "Accessibility Options"
whereas on 7 it's under "Ease of Access -> Optimize Visual Display".
