Boosts framerate from ~35fps to ~95fps in the Lanzcos short-circuit case.

@Eblo Would you maybe be able to give this a try and confirm that it yields a speedup (and doesn't break anything)?

Actually I'm going to pull a Struma here and just merge it. If there are bugs, someone will report them soon enough. I'm behind enough on PR's that asking for more review is just not a good idea here.
