building plutip with nix crashes Arch linux running in WSL2 #147

While running

nix build .#plutip:exe:local-cluster or nix develop on latest master on an Arch Windows Subsystem for linux install I get the following output and then arch crashes and restarts:

Any ideas as to what could be causing this? cardano-node,cardano-wallet etc builds and runs without issue

Also crashes on Debian running on bare metal where nix works on other projects although I think it only crashes the process / shell / session

this is the last output from the debian box [0/1 built] evaluating derivation 'git+file:///mnt/blah/workspace/cardano/plutip#devShells.x86_64-linux.default'
