Fixed, please try:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-tab-jumpstart/versions/?page=
1#version-0.5a5.5.3
It's being reviewed at the moment. The only change is the fix for a breaking
change that occurred between FF versions 21 and 22.

I installed 0.5a5.5.3, checked that New Tab was enabled, restarted Firefox.
Then I just got a blank tab, no sign of New Tab at all.

I just had to reapply this fix from a while back, and everything was back to
how it should be:

go to
about:config

then search for:
browser.newtab.url

change about:newtab to:
chrome://jumpstart/content/tabView.xul
