upgraded from 0.56 to 0.57Alpha2... no output #14

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install 0.57alpha2 deb package
2. select any source and play
3. result no output in preview window

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
the background will turn on and off but thats all

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
10.04 64bit

Please provide any additional information below.
I use packet manager to complely remove packages and reinstall.. 0.56 will 
always work and 0.57A2 always fail.

Some issue were fixed in later version, but you need to start the "Layout" 
(Make it active" to see the result.  Each layout is independent from each other 
and only the active one will display the results...
