Not Working at all on my Asus Eee PC #24

I am using Alpha 2 of the latest version, and when I click open, it just won't. 
It shows the splash window, but Webcam Studio itself will not open.

Start from the console to see error message that could kill the process 
(webcamstudio)
and post the resutls

Feels like it's another GLIB2.0 issue.  Try the 0.57 Beta 1 as I added some 
dependencies.  Once done, report back so I can validate if the issue is closed.
