What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. opening webcamstudio
2. seeing the my webcam is not detected under sources
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Click on sources, pull-down to click on webcam

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
beta4 on ubuntu 11.10

Please provide any additional information below.

Im ultra frustrated. I just want to use my webcam. I feel like I'm going to 
start crying.

My laptop does that sometimes and i need to unload/reload the uvcvideo module 
to make it work
