the Activate Stream button has disappeared from WCS 0.60 alpha (364)

What steps will reproduce the problem?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
there should be 2 buttons under Output
"record" and "activate stream"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
latest - WCS 0.60 alpha (364)

i checked the hidden .java folder and i saw the XML file in the webcamstudio 
folder showed this on the top line: 

<entry key="activatestream" value="false"/>

i opened the prefs.xml file in gedit and changed it to true and saved but it 
didnt fix it and i still only have the option to Record output

should i make this change using sudo? or is there something else thats wrong

okay, ive managed to bypass this by doing a few things, not sure which exactly 
fixed it.

i deleted the folder i had webcam .60 in, and uninstalled all my java files, 
reinstalled those, then i went and installed an older version of WCS using a 
DEB package.

then i went back and just downloaded .60 and i renamed both the unpacked main 
file and the actual JAR file and now the "activate output" button is back.

there must be a hidden system file somewhere that wasnt getting deleted by 
normal unstalling proceedures, im not 100% familar with the ubuntu file system 
especially all those hidden (.folders) if anyone can pinpoint if theres 1 exact 
file and tell me how i can reset it/delete it, so next time i run the normally 
named WCS it will use the default settings rather than whatever changes made 
that button disapear.
