(0.60 alpha) Webcam Captures One Frame Then Disables Itself #72

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Press play button
2. One frame is captured (UVC compatible camera, works fine outside of WCS)
3. 'Stop' button changes to 'Play'

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The expected output is a stream of my webcam. Instead I see one frame before it
disables itself.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.60/Fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04

Please provide any additional information below.
The webcam is a Logitech C130. It works fine on its own.

Nope. We have to wait for the dev to respond, which could take months. :\

The last deb release (0.57) was functional but my camera was only @ 5FPS where
it works perfectly without webcamstudio.

I'm having the same issue on a Toshiba Satellite P750's integrated webcam. I'm
running Ubuntu 12.10 (upgraded from an original install of 12.04). The .deb
release (0.57) appeared to work, but I'm really looking to use the FME
functionality of 0.60.

Awh man. I don't think the dev is active anymore, would anyone like to
collaborate on fixing this?

I wish I had the necessary coding talent to do so.

0x4a6f6, check out the WebCamStudio facebook group. It looks like the dev (and
community) is still active, but he's been a little busy with life.

Could you test if this issue persists in latest SVN code?
You may use the daily builds PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~webcamstudio/+archive/webcamstudio-dailybuilds
