Thanks for the catch Ken! I was unsure about that sentence break.

A stub for this has been added to the umlaut-three-sixty-link gem. There's enough to design an interface, though.
What's missing: The 360Link api doesn't include the disambiguation url. And it does not provide the information it uses to construct a definitive one.
Does that mean that we need to guess from the context of the API results that there are two (or more) alternate targets?
No, we know how many things the API thought there were.
It means that there's no way in the api, to implement the behavior the 360Link page currently does. i.e. provide two or more disambiguation alternatives, where the target takes you to a regular 360Link page for just that result.

Let me know what you think @varnum, @bnhowell and @Treevore.
@bertrama I'll need help hiding non-disambiguation umlaut sections on the page. In the above example I deleted elements by inspect elements in chrome to get a version of how it should look.
Here is screenshot of what the page actually looks like:
Assuming that clicking one of the blue "MGet It" buttons will take the user to the corresponding MGet It screen, would it be more consistent to use the traditional "MGet It" button here (such as exists in ArticlesPlus and all the vendor databases)?

Do we want both this disambiguation page and the actual MGet It page for the specific item to be branded with a header "MGet It" This might be confusing. Maybe "MGet It: The Prequel" or "MGet It: Origins"

In our check-in meeting this afternoon, we decided to keep the disambiguation page but give it a different header, make the text explaining why the user is there more pointed, and keep the current design of having the multiple options link to the full MGet It page for each. Some discussion of what metadata to display where (top of page, vs. repeated for each possible option). Did I miss anything, @jonearley, @bnhowell, and @Treevore ?
@varnum that covers it. Thanks for the summary!
I'd like to show this (either as screen shots or, better, as live pages) at Wednesday's meeting. Is either possible? @jonearley
@varnum this page has become more complicated than expected, but will try and have it ready for Wednesday. I expect a lot of conflicting feedback on this page.
Let me know what you think, @varnum, @Treevore and @bnhowell. My goal in this iteration is to have some brief copy and header that explains this type of page. The multiple citation results are now in a list to help make them seem different from one another. I inlined metadata so it takes up less space.
@jonearley: I like this latest iteration with numbered list. The header, copy (explanation) & inline metadata look clear and minimal. I also really like using link text at this level and reserving the buttons for access to the full text.
Personally, I'd like to see what a bounding box with a slight grey around each result looks like. It might make them more visually distinct as a choice.
My opinion: We should have standard formats for citations, and use those. I'm not keen on these ad hoc representations because 3-5 years down the road, we'll have someone putting together a slide deck detailing all the different ways we show citations and asking where we went wrong. If an inlined citation format is a real need, where else would we use it?
I pushed changes to the code that will effect removal of the citation metadata at the top, and preempt the mirlyn search and ILL links. Changes to config/umlaut_services.yml to make preemption possible may be necessary.
I agree. Can we start with the brief view for document types as we've defined in the search project?

@bertrama I pulled changes, but citation information is still displayed. Could I be doing something wrong or am I missing a step?
@varnum I've been using the search team's metadata suggestion for a brief display. Maybe the UX team should look at this closer and decide on how to display disambiguation citations.
Perhaps formatting the disambigutaiton citation more like a citation (pick a format: AP, Chicago, ...). That would make them stand out a bit from the summary information provided on the actual "get me to this resource page).

Disambiguated links should now work.
Has anyone stumbled on new examples (other than Twilight or the cigarette article) to test this on?
I don't have any other examples saved. I've landed on one by chance a few days ago.
I think this issue could be closed. We can review at tomorrow's check in meeting.
