Not exactly. We have told people during the presentations that they should request API keys to Farsight (or use the ones they have) in order to us this functionality on the tool. There is no API key in the repo, and you should configure it (along with the API endpoint) at https://github.com/mlsecproject/combine/blob/master/combine.cfg
We (as in MLSec Project) have a partnership with Farsight and they are aware of this project and that we have directed people to request trial keys to try it out.
To be fair, we could have done a better job on the README to let people know that they should be providing their own Farsight API keys. We will get to that. :)
Please let me know if this answered your question.
Thanks for the quick response. Before you guys released combine, I was in the process of acquiring our own key for our homegrown OSINT scripts.
:+1: If I can assist in any way with them, please let me know.
Thanks for the offer, I think the volume of queries that we expect is going to be something that I'm going to let other people negotiate. My intent with combine/tiq-test is use it as a fork lift replacement for a number of our scripts, but also add in our commercial feeds for greater awareness/insight.
I was very pleased to see this release last week. Thank you!
Cool! :) Please let us know of feature requests and things of the like. Both projects are pretty much a WIP right now and the people who are using them will help significantly shape the direction of our roadmap.
Is Farsight providing an API key for this project? Are they aware that thousands of people may be hitting them on this key each day?
