We only provide support for the builds we provide and not build help, but I have a hint: how does Shotcut know where to get its QML source files? It assumes the path relative to the executable: ../share/shotcut/qml
If you make install
it takes care of installing QML to the expected location. Otherwise, you can make a directory and symbolic link:
cd shotcut
mkdir -p share/shotcut
cd share/shotcut
ln -s ../../src/qml
Thansk @ddennedy, I did make install
and it works fine, thanks!
I didn't do it before because in the readme it is stated:
"
make install
is partially working.
Best way to test shotcut is to execute it from source folder:
./src/shotcut
"
Hi, I just tried to compile and run the master branch on a linux machine (gentoo). Compilation is fine but when I run it gives me seg fault.
I have simply compiled as written in the doc
Is there any compile/build option I have to specify?
I have shotcut-20.07.11 working fine (installed through the package manager), so I guess the dependencies are almost fine..
