"Report Errors" menu item does not appear after install

The documentation mentions that a new menu item will be added in Administer > System Settings > Report Errors

Unfortunately the new menu item does not appear in my install. I use joomla 2.5.14 and civicrm 4.4 beta4

EDIT: after uninstalling and reinstalling I noticed the menu-item appear, but gets overwritten by the region-lookup module after in installs...

Thanks for the hint. I was using a deprerated way of adding menu items, which caused the strange issue. Fixed in git.
