Hi nvts31. I know you opened this some weeks back now, but wanted to let you know I did see this, and am aware of the script not really working well anymore. I've moved work on this script over to a newer version that has not been posted here yet. I'm hoping to add it here in the near future. When I do, the new script will supersede the Update Core Apps version.
In the interim, if you would like to help with beta testing the latest script, feel free to contact me about it and I can see about getting it to you to test with.
Mike I'd like a copy to test with if possible. On Jan 31, 2016 7:11 PM, "Mike M" notifications@github.com wrote:

@Snickasaurus, send me an email (mm2270 [at] me [dot] com and I can get you a copy of the script in the next day or so.
I'm not sure if this is still being maintained, but I thought I would ask.
Some of the apps are not able to be updated by the script, the ones I've had trouble with are Acrobat, FireFox and CyberDuck. The script will run and report to the user:
The logs in JSS for the policy also report an issue, but the policy does run successfully.
I am testing on 10.10.5 running JSS 9.81
