Great callout! I think it's pretty logical to say "you can't create a log for something that hasn't happened", but I also have this feeling that someone using this system might have a good reason to log "future" information that I am not currently anticipating. I'm inclined to allow users to create such logs, but show a warning.

Some options for addressing this come to mind, any combination of which seems compatible:

• Display a warning on the date and time fields when either start or end date/times is in the future
• Display a confirmation when submitting if either start or end date/time is in the future.
• Add a field to logs that time-stamps their original submission, so that you could query for logs that were submitted into the system before their start/end times had passed if you wanted to.
