Laravel 5.3 support #3

I'm using this in my current project and it's working just fine. I'm not sure if there are larger implications but I wanted to at least get a PR in that would add support for Laravel 5.3.

Sorry about the radio silence regarding the issue, but I'm on holiday in deep Scotland, without my laptop and decent Internet access. I should be back tomorrow and I'll merge your PR straight away.
