Dear @helendallas ,
Kindly have a look at the Fish MaterList file.
Warm regards,
@Thacien1 Sorry for the delay. I have gone through the master file and highlighted one or two issues. Mostly it was fine, well done!
The revised file is attached: RBIS.Fish.Master.List.20.April.2021.xlsx
I then did a test on the RBIS testing site to upload the master list and received some errors ( only 66 of the 76 species uploaded successfully), which I have emailed Dimas about as I am not sure why these were not uploaded. I used the FBIS fish logo.
I then harvested from GBIF, but it takes some time for the data to be visualised on RBIS.
Once I hear from Dimas - I will add to ticket.
Thank you Helen.
The major problem was in the occurrence data file as thacien described. The RBIS had 352 records, instead of 1636 records. What do you suggest as well?

@mmindje As mentioned earlier, I am awaiting feedback from Dimas as to why some of the fish species did not upload. So until I hear from him, please do not upload to live, thanks
Oooh yeah, I remember you said that. Thank you
I got so much on my head until I forgot some issues. Thank you Helen. Hoping to hear from Dimas as well.

@mmindje Dimas has found the issue and fixed it on production. I just uploaded the fish master list, and am now harvesting fish species from GBIF.
Awesome, thanks for the update Helen

I have found some useful references and tables that you can use as a starting point for collating the fish master list;
From Fishbase: List of Freshwater Fishes reported from Rwanda https://www.fishbase.se/Country/CountryChecklist.php?c_code=646&vhabitat=fresh&csub_code=&cpresence=present
Plus these two refs.
DeVos et al 2001 Fish Checklist.pdf
Snoeks-etal-2012-SpringerBook Lake Kivu.pdf
It would also be worth checking on GBIF what fish species have been recorded. I ma not sure if you have any local fish experts in country?
