Dear Helen On the questions you asked us - here, we have some replies.

In relation to the water quality (physico-chemistry) data sent please can you answer the following:

Does this wq data have companion biological occurrence records?
A/The water quality data are stand-alone data and no occurrence records are attributed to them.

Is this data that will be manually manipulated into a wq template for uploading to RBIS?
A/Yes- the data has to be manually manipulated using a template we need to have first that is in line with the form that RBIS can accept to integrate.

Confirm that this data be added per site/sampling date?
A/Yes. Water quality needs to be added per site and sampling date.

We already serve Physico-chemical data in FBIS (I prefer using this to water quality as the latter implies a human construct).

Yes- if the form for Physicochemical data in FBIS can be used to serve for Water quality data, I think it can be used for its integration to the system- maybe we can have a look at the constructed template.

We shall need to standardize the data based on a template- just a way to go about the data is to have a standardized template Please can you go through our list and see which variables are not yet included. I have already noted E. coli and Faecal coliforms. These can easily be added.

Yes- we are soon to have an internal meeting to have the varilables identified. Regards

The upload template is ready:

RBIS Water Quality Data Template.xlsx

Next step is for Dimas to enable uploading of physico-chemical data at a new site, and at an existing site.

A physico-chemical template has been created for bulk uploading of data. The list of variables is that created for FBIS, but the RBIS data team may want to customise based on the variables they add to the Chemistry Unit table. Please see ticket #60

Here it is: RBIS Physico_chemical_template.xlsx
